Discover the picturesque little port of Katakolo with its fishing boats and seafood tavernas. One of the most enchanting parts of Katakolo, which you must definitely visit, is the castle, also known as Ponikokastro.
An important part of Catalun is also the lighthouse. It is located on the Cape of Catalun, on the southwest side of it. It was built in 1865 and the height of the tower made of stone reaches 9 meters and its focal height is 45 meters.

Opposite the central square of Katakolos, the Museum of Ancient Greek Musical Instruments and Toys (The Museum of Ancient Greek Musical Instruments and Toys) operates on the main street of the building of Latsis (under the auspices of the Municipality of Pyrgos) where 42 reconstructed musical instruments of the ancient Greeks and numerous ancient Greek games accompanied with detailed descriptions and diagrams after research, design and construction by Kostas Kotsana. The exhibits are accompanied by rich audiovisual material (in Greek and English) and many of them are interactive. It is the most complete and the most reliable museum of its kind in the world.
